Young singer Ashu Sehgal has stepped confidently into the industry with his latest song, “Are Jhumka Bali Re,” a track that promises to showcase his distinctive vocal character and artistic sincerity.
The song has been composed and written by noted Bollywood music director S. P. Sen, who has carefully crafted the composition to complement Ashu’s tonal quality and expressive delivery. The project is produced by Sompal Sehgal, who has presented the track with a vibrant and appealing musical arrangement.
Hailing from the village of Bharapur Bhauri in Haridwar, Ashu’s musical journey began with foundational training under Meenu Pandit. He is currently refining his vocal skills under the mentorship of Ms. Karuna Chauhan. Deeply inspired by legendary playback singers such as Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, and Arijit Singh, Ashu has shaped his musical sensibility around melody, emotion, and lyrical clarity. While drawing inspiration from these iconic voices, he is steadily carving out his own identity—one defined by sincerity and youthful resonance.
Prior to this release, Ashu lent his voice to the title track of the film Man Se Man Tak, marking his initial foray into film music. He has also recorded a song for a music album and is now preparing to contribute to another upcoming film project. These consistent milestones indicate a structured progression in his early career.
Family support has played a pivotal role in Ashu’s journey. He attributes much of his growth and confidence to his father’s unwavering encouragement. Notably, his father was present during the recording session of “Are Jhumka Bali Re,” underscoring the strong personal backing behind his professional aspirations. His home village proudly celebrates his achievements and regards him as a rising cultural representative from the region.
Speaking about the young artist, S. P. Sen praised Ashu’s vocal sincerity and tonal uniqueness. He noted that Ashu performed the song with remarkable passion and hinted at plans to collaborate with him again for an upcoming film project. Such endorsement from an established composer adds significant credibility to the singer’s debut.
Expressing gratitude, Ashu acknowledged S. P. Sen for providing him with the opportunity to record the track. Emerging from the serene landscapes of Devbhoomi, this promising voice is now preparing to resonate on a national stage. “Are Jhumka Bali Re” represents more than just a song—it signals the beginning of what could be a defining musical journey for Ashu Sehgal.
